YM hydraulic cathead

LAKE's YM Series Hydraulic Cathead is designed as accessories to Tong to carry out make-up and break-out operation with Greater safety for rig personnel. Snatch blocks and multi-line hook-ups are not required for most connections. Shock loads are replaced by a smooth, steady line pull to save wear and tear on rig tongs. Once adjusted, the YM Hydraulic cathead pulls to the desired forces up to 17.6 US ton, every time and with a quickness that is unequalled. It will also make-up mousehole connections. This tool features the simplest, most positive automatic cable feed out system yet devised. After completing make-up or break-out the control lever is simply pushed into the detent position. The ine will automatically and smoothly feed out and stop ready for the next joint.

YM hydraulic cathead is suitable to tighten or loosen joint by cooperating with Manual Tong. Its pull may be adjusted as needed. YM cathead has its series. There are four selections of pull: 5t, 8t, 10t, 16t. It is designed and manufactured according to API Spec 8A “Specification for Drilling and Production Hoisting Equipment”.
